Eating here is a very special treat. It starts with the beautiful setting on the way in. It truly is a beautiful property. The service was spectacular with every possible need being met. The staff are warm and friendly while anticipating your every need. They are so well trained and experienced they perform their duties with confidence, poise and grace. The food was unbelievable good. I had a perfectly cooked tuna with a nice Cajun spice. This is the best dining experience I have had in a very long time.Michelin restaurant reviewers really need to review this restaurant. I am positive they would award multiple stars to La Lampsra

This restaurant has been a firm family favourite for many years. Probably the best Italian restaurant in KZN, certainly in the Midlands. We were five adults and a two year old child and we all appreciated every aspect of the venue. Thank you to the whole team. My Pork Belly and Tiramisu choice was perfect in every way.

What a gorgeous restaurant with top notch food and service. We had a pizza, pasta pockets with mushrooms (most delicious) and a salad. A bonus is the gratuitous pizza bread you receive for the table.

Highly recommended. The food is fabulous and the team is full of smiles and knowledge. I had to work for part of our lunch and the team made sure that I had a comfortable table by a fireplace, strong WiFi and they held my food until I was ready. Excellent.

I have visited this beautiful, quaint, ever bustling restaurant twice so far and I find myself craving the food there often. It'sa pity it'sso far from home! The home made pasta is the best ever. Honestly, after eating the pasta at this restuarant I don't eat pasta at any other restuarant, if I can help it. The pasta at La Lampara is legendary. My chicken Pizza as well as the Foccacia every table gets was the perfect texture and tastes wonderful. The desserts were also very good especially the Tiramisu. I plan on visiting very soon again to taste their other dishes.The ambience and surroundings of the restuarant is just so beautiful and serene. Though the place was fully booked on my 2 visits and bustling with chatter and music it still felt so tranquil for some reason....maybe it's just the location of a special table I like near the window overlooking the garden .The staff are just the cherry on the top - these local ladies that have attended to me are so friendly, full of smiles and meal recommendations. Love the spirit! The owners are also so very friendly and welcoming Keep it up!Fellow readers you must try this restuarant when you next in the Natal Midlands. I don't regret taking the recommendation to visit this establishment from a complete stranger while staying in the Midlands 2 years back. I go back every year! It's truly well worth the drive off the beaten track! A little bit of heaven in the countryside.I revisited in December 2024 and the service, the staff, the ambiance and the food are still all exceptional! Love it!

We had the most amazing birthday lunch, with such helpful and friendly service, and a beautiful walk through the gardens. The food, as per usual, was incomparable!

Beautiful restaurant, great atmosphere and loved the Mountain view. I knew what I had ordered but wasn’t expecting the baby chicken to be bigso brought half home for dinner. Chicken was juicy and veggies were perfect. Staff are super friendly and helpful. Great experiencehighly recommend and best to book. Was lucky to get a table. Restaurant was fully booked.
